The J.D.M - Legacy of Excellence Foundation was born out of a deep-seated passion for education, academic success, spiritual growth, and community uplifting. This organization was established in honor of a son, brother, and uncle by the name of Joshua DeShawn … seen in the above picture, to pay it forward, to create opportunities for individuals with a disability, who suffer from epileptic seizures, other debilitating conditions, and those who are at a disadvantage. Our scholarship program and virtual resource center are designed with the singular goal of nurturing talent, building confidence, and fostering the excellence of all students. We are not just a scholarship foundation, we are a virtual community committed to making a lasting impact by providing valuable resources. Melissa is the visionary behind the website, the establishment of the foundation, and a strong advocate for accessible education. She founded this platform to empower students worldwide through ‘Youth Development’ to pursue excellence, regardless of their circumstances. Melissa’s passion for creating opportunities for young minds has been the driving force behind the J.D.M Legacy of Excellence Foundation. She plays a crucial role in curating and updating the extensive programs and resource database, with attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of academic and leadership performance. She ensures that the foundation’s website features the most relevant and up-to-date opportunities for its users. She is dedicated to helping students of all ethnicities navigate their educational journey to success.
