Melissa Millender  - Managing Director

Melissa is the visionary behind the website, the establishment of the foundation, and a strong advocate for accessible education. She founded this platform to empower students worldwide through youth resources to pursue excellence, regardless of their economic status. Melissa's passion for creating opportunities for young minds has been the driving force behind the JDM Legacy of Excellence Foundation. She plays a crucial role in curating and updating the extensive programs and resource database, with attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of academic and leadership performance. She ensures that the foundation's website features the most relevant and up-to-date opportunities for its users. She is dedicated to helping students of all ethnicities navigate their educational journey to success.

The J.D.M - Legacy of Excellence Foundation, located in Los Angeles California, is a non-profit memorial organization dedicated to providing educational resources to students. We believe in the power of education to transform lives and we are committed to breaking down barriers that prevent talented individuals from reaching their full potential. Our foundation is built on the principles of diversity, inclusion, and excellence.

Our hope is to provide safe, dignified, and sustainable support to each individual and families facing the challenges of rehabilitation and accommodations as we build a pathway toward a self-sufficient future.

Students with disabilities often have to live with debilitating conditions that place them at a disadvantage in school and life due to a lack of accommodations and support. Making education more accessible requires nurturing talent, building confidence, and fostering the excellence of all students.

Overall Aim

Our resources aim to support the education, academic success, and growth of students with disabilities who are constantly met with challenges. Any student who has a disability (physical, learning-related) is encouraged to participate in the learning advancement opportunities offered by the JDM Legacy of Excellence Foundation.

Our Mission

We seek to challenge personal growth, cultivate resilience and self-awareness as we amplify the voices of those individuals who are often silenced. We are dedicated to breaking the cycle of exclusion and offering opportunities for inclusion and stability through supportive services and community engagement. It is our mission to support individuals with a disability as they become leaders of tomorrow by offering financial assistance, mentorship - leadership empowerment, and academic resources.
